It’s been almost a year since I started working for Truetzschler. To me it feels like a small eternity because of all the new impressions I received, the things I learned, the people I met and the experience I gained. After I visited our yearly pensioners’ reunion for the first time I knew – this is just the beginning!
A Truetzschler tradition
Every second weekend in December, Truetzschler invites to the yearly pensioner’s reunion in Moenchengladbach. Since many years it’s a real Truetzschler tradition. Looking back to the sixties, there were only a handful of people sitting together on a table. Over the years, the rather small event has established itself to a fixed part of the Truetzschler culture.
Teamwork
This time, more than 200 former employees followed the personal invitation and joined together for a reunion. The works council, the personnel department, the cafeteria team as well as some apprentices did a great job in organizing the event and creating a festive atmosphere. As it is tradition, members of the Truetzschler family and the management board welcomed the guests at their former workplace.
Not only a job
While enjoying a coffee and traditional christmas pastries, the guests had time to indulge in reminiscences. For me this was the right time to get some insights in their experience of working for Truetzschler. My impression so far was confirmed: At Truetzschler, no short stories are being written. In the past and in the present, our company benefits from an exceptionally low staff turnover. Everybody I talked to decided to spent most of their lives working for our company – with pleasure, passion and devotion. It goes without saying that in this lifetime, many friends were found, memories were collected and stories were written. See for yourself in this short video:
