Trützschler apprentices recognized for supporting digital education in local schools

Digital skills are essential for the future – and thanks to the project “Azubis an Schulen”, primary school children in Mönchengladbach are getting an early start. As part of this project, Trützschler apprentices were recently honored with a certificate for their outstanding contribution. The initiative, launched by Rockid.one in cooperation with the Trützschler Foundation and the Lower Rhine Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK), brings digital skills directly into classrooms.

Through interactive sessions at local primary schools in Mönchengladbach, our apprentices introduced children to topics like robotics, artificial intelligence, and safe use of social media – making digital learning fun and accessible. These sessions not only strengthen digital competencies but also relieve teachers and create a positive learning environment where knowledge is shared on equal terms.

Caroline Lange, Chairwoman of the Trützschler Foundation, highlighted the project’s importance: “Azubis an Schulen creates a strong connection between education, families, and businesses in the context of digital transformation. It’s a win-win-win situation that we are proud to support – and a pioneering approach to shaping the digital future of the next generation.”

Since its launch in 2020, the project has reached more than 22,000 children in six federal states, supported by over 950 apprentices. By combining education with practical experience, it not only benefits students but also helps apprentices develop social and communication skills.
