Every year, our apprentices dedicate their time and energy to support a cherished local tradition: building the “Christkindlmarkt” in Mönchengladbach. This festive market isn’t just about holiday cheer – the money raised will be used to support people with disabilities in Mönchengladbach.
The “Christkindlmarkt” has been a symbol of solidarity since 1973. Always held on the Saturday before the first Advent, it brings together various organizations and volunteers for a colorful bazaar. Here, everything sold is lovingly baked, cooked, crafted, collected, or donated specifically for this event.

Since its beginning, the market has generated several million euros to improve the lives of people with disabilities in Mönchengladbach. In 2025, the “Christkindlmarkt” raised over €103,600, which is divided equally among eight permanent facilities that also help organize the market. A ninth share goes to a different institution each year – this time to the Special Hockey Team. The funds are often used for major purchases such as vehicles for wheelchair transport, or special projects like excursions for children with disabilities.
As in previous years, our apprentices once again worked hard behind the scenes to make the festive magic happen and to make a positive impact in our community. Without their commitment, the market simply couldn’t take place.

“The “Christkindlmarkt” is more than a tradition for us: it stands for solidarity and social commitment. As a family-owned company, we are proud that our apprentices also represent these values to the outside world,” says Caroline Lange, member of the “Christkindlmarkt” board and Chairwoman of the Trützschler Foundation.
