Trützschler Foundation supports the project “TuWas! Rheinland”

The goal of the educational initiative “TuWaS Rheinland!” is to sustainably promote the interest of children in grades 1 to 6 in science and technology. The initiative is implemented by the Chambers of Industry and Commerce of Cologne, Bonn/Rhein-Sieg and Mittel Niederrhein. The Trützschler Foundation supports the realization of the project at various high schools in Mönchengladbach, including the Franz-Meyers-Gymnasium in Giesenkirchen.

Through research-based learning, students are introduced to the so-called MINT subjects (mathematics, computer science, natural sciences, technology). The schools receive proven teaching and experimental materials that playfully promote scientific skills as well as teamwork and language development in children. The Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and the Free University of Berlin are responsible for the basic content and pedagogical concept of the initiative.
