Groundbreaking ceremony for the little ones: Trützschler Foundation supports new children’s playground of the sports club 05/07 Odenkirchen

Since the establishment of the Trützschler Foundation in August of this year, the charitable foundation has launched its first project: the financing of a 150 m² children’s playground on the grounds of the sports club SpVg 05/07 Odenkirchen. The groundbreaking ceremony has already taken place and the opening is planned for spring.

Swings, a seesaw, a merry-go-round and a large climbing frame with slide: the first project of the Trützschler Foundation leaves nothing to be desired when it comes to children’s play. Already this winter, a large new playground will be built in the entrance area of the sports club SpVg Odenkirchen, where the young guests of the sports facility can let off steam. “We are delighted to be able to support such a meaningful project so soon after our foundation and to see the first children playing here in the spring,” says Caroline Lange, chairwoman of the Trützschler Foundation. This groundbreaking ceremony will certainly remain in our memory as the first project – and the great thing for us is that it also marks the beginning of further support for the sports club,” Carolin Lange continues.

The cooperation between the foundation and the SpVg Odenkirchen was preceded by a long-standing relationship between the SpVg and the company Trützschler, which is also based in Odenkirchen. This is how the contact was established.

In the medium term, the Trützschler Foundation’s support will go beyond the construction of the playground: continuous financial support for the SpVg is already planned for the next five years. Sebastian Nellis, managing director of the senior department of the SpVg Odenkirchen, is very happy about the cooperation: “The construction of a playground has been on our agenda for a long time, because we want to offer more to the youngest sports fans between the ages of two and five – and thus also to families. Until now, we have lacked the financial means to do so, so we were naturally very happy when the Foundation’s approval came.

Both the Trützschler Foundation and the SpVg Odenkirchen are very pleased about the cooperation and are sure that they will be able to launch further exciting projects together in the future, from which children and young people of all ages can benefit – whether they are players or fans.
